Karen Melby loves to teach the Bible and to encourage woman toward a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Karen was married to Scott Melby for 30 years until his death, from leukemia, in 2016. Dealing with the realities of financial and legal responsibilities after the loss of her husband was overwhelming. This experience made her passionate about helping women become ‘Prepared to Carry On’, a topic she has spoken on at conferences for both men and women. She serves on the board of the National Christian Foundation where this idea to do a conference for women on this topic was birthed. 

Karen has five grown children, six grandchildren and counting! ...her greatest joy.

After living in Birmingham, Michigan for most of her life, she now lives in Grand Rapids. Her hands down favorite place to be is at her family home with her children and grandchildren on the shores of Lake Michigan at Maranatha Bible Conference.
